TTIN Challenge: Heyday 14

Ladies, I'm on a roll!

After days and days of hitting the snooze button on my alarm clock, I FINALLY woke up at 4am this morning, got the coffee going while I started putting up clean dishes. The tasks helped wake me up, and I began updating the outline for my book with some super awesome ideas I'd brainstormed the night before with my critique partner, our very own regular visitor on this blog ~ Dianna Shuford.

Currently, my house smells of freshly baked muffins... No, I haven't purchased a new candle from Yankee Candle... I actually baked them this morning!!!

I've been in a slump for a while, but when I finally dig deep and uncover the nuggets of the story, I run toward the goal like a mad woman. I'm thrilled at this progress and by my writing this morning, as I've reached the end of Chapter One. I'll be starting Chapter Two on my lunch break today, Lord willing.

My current word count is 3,107.

I'm gaining on you ladies that have reached and exceeded 5k and I'm thrilled!! Woo-Hoo!

Okay, it's your turn - are you as thrilled as I am or have you hit a deep slump? Share and let us encourage you to plow through the muck!

You go, Christy. 4 am? And I thought 5 am was bad!

Christy---freshly baked muffins?? I hope my hubby isn't reading over my shoulder!!
I am not quite reaching my 400 count per day. Today was only 354. But I am in chapter 4 and at 8164 for a total word count.
I am moving along--I'm excited about this book.

And congrats to you! I know you can get a great start on chapter 2 at lunch--and I also know having a brainstorming partner like Dianna is a great motivator. Can't wait to hear about everyone else's progress.

Okay--it's Friday and I only got 366 words. But since I woke up really late, I'm happy with that.

Tomorrow I can write until 12:30. So I'll check back in.

Hope everyone is making progress. Even a few words a day will add up eventually.

LOL< Anita... If I could manage getting up even earlier I would!

Thanks for checking in Lindi! You are doing great!

I've gotten another 300 words - approximately- today. I woke up late too and didn't get as much time to write as my daughter is sick again! I should've gotten up at four instead of hitting the snooze!

Great progress Christy! Getting up at 4am shows real motivation!

I'm at 9 200 words, hopefully I'll add to that tonight.

You've all done great!!

After only getting 778 words on Thursday (half my goal), I managed 2082 today! And I was shocked. I had no idea I'd done 8 pages.

Have a great weekend!!

Chrity--Hope your girl get's well. Eva--you're coming along! Keep going. And yeah, Missy! 8 pages in one day.

I have about 4 hours this morning to write--then it's off to do other stuff. I'll check back in.

Finalist!

I've always enjoyed reading historical novels. As a child I actually imagined living in the mid 1800s. My grandmother fed my imaginatio...
