I've always enjoyed entertaining others. I wrote my first book when I was in 7th grade about a group of kids who were trying to solve the mystery of their best friend's death. Pretty deep stuff for a 13 year old.
Later in life, I studied theater and won Best Actress at a One-Act Competition. I considered many different professions in the medical field. In the meantime, I married my high school sweetheart. While working full time, I finished college and graduated with a degree in Marketing from Brenau University.
A few years later, I decided to stop ignoring the characters in my head and began writing. Still, I was too afraid to join writers groups.
When my first child was born, I looked into my child's precious face and knew I needed to begin living a better life. Soon after, I rededicated my life to Christ. I also decided that my stories would have God at the center.
I write contemporary and historical romance. Stories based in the South with Steel Magnolia Sass.
In 2009, my manuscript The Bridge Between won the ACFW Genesis Contest.
The manuscript also received Honorable Mention in the Georgia Romance Writers Maggie Contest in 2009.
In 2012, I placed third in the River City Romance Writers Dual on the Delta Contest with my manuscript, Too Late to Apologize.
I have also written articles for Afictionado Magazine.
I'm still seeking publication. It's a long journey, but I can't imagine my life without writing. I'm a member of several wonderful organizations: American Christian Fiction Writers, Romance Writers of America, and Georgia Romance Writers.
May God bless you as you pursue your dreams!
