TTIN Challenge: Heydays 10 & 11

Well..... as you can see by the new wallpaper at my home on the web, not much writing has been happening. Usually, wallpapering something gets me into trouble and my husband has to bail me out of it... Luckily, no drywall was damaged in this wallpapering venture.

Speaking of damage, I have been pondering my story... but that's about it. My characters are becoming more and more wounded the longer I ponder them. It's time to write, or they'll be too exhausted to perform.

I do want to say how proud I am of all of you... And I'm especially proud of Missy who is our current star!  She is keeping us all accountable by continuing to post regularly her own progress, whether I have posted something or not!

Way to Go Missy!!!

Keep up the good work and I'll have something nifty for you coming soon...

Okay gals, check in time. What is your goal for this week?

I love the new wallpaper! I'm currently editing my book to meet a March 1 deadline, but I keep deleting scenes and sending myself further behind. Eek!

Hi, Julie! And thanks for stopping by. I know what you mean about deleting scenes... I've started chapter 1 about 4 times... with prologue/without prologue, delete, delete.

Your book is coming out soon! Congratulations! I want you to come back and formally talk about that... I'll email ya ;)

Although this wallpaper looks ok. I'll have to say that I like the mountains better. It was so serene.

My goal for the week is to get the first 15 pages of this new story I'm working on together. Right now, I have 4 so I have 11 to go.

Yes, this wallpaper is a bit busy, Dianna. The mountains were serene but the page was too white. Of course, now I'm thinking the polka-dots are too busy.... hmmm

And I have the same goal as you.

Plus, the February deadline for Gin Ellis is fast approaching!

Yep, I've got the Gin Ellis workshop deadline flashing through my brain too(2/19, 2/19/ 2/19). I figure if I can get the first 15 pages done this week and the second 15 pages done next week then I'll be ready to submit. Asssuming I submit my synopsis as is.

Hi gals,
I'm liking the new look!!

I managed 4338 words last week.
I think I can do about 400 words a day this week. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it's about what I can do in the a.m.
So it looks like I'm shooting for about 1600 words this week---I'm not going to get anything done today. I'm late!!!

Hey, Christy! Thanks for the shout out!

I got 1254 words written on Saturday trying to catch up for the less than stellar week. But I'm hoping this week will be calmer.

I hope you all have a great week!

Hi, just checking in.

Lindi and Missy, sounds like you're both well on your way! Good for you!

Christy and Dianna, you seem to both be working toward a goal that's really important to you. Good luck!

I took last week off from writing my wip and focused on plotting a different book, but now I am back to writing my wip. That's the plan for tonight. I'll post later or tomorrow on my word count.

Have a nice night everyone!

Julie, I know how that is! I'll be trying to add words to a manuscript and end up cutting whole scenes! :) Good luck with it.

Eva Maria, have fun with the new book as well!

I just stopped for the day. Whew. I'm pooped. Got 1994 words done (Monday)! And I'm liking where the story is going right now. That's always a relief. :)

Good morning!! Okay, I got 690 words written today.

Yay, Lindi and Missy!!!
Eva, sometimes I think its good to take a break from one book to work on another. I'd like to work on my contemporary, but haven't had the time. I think I need to just write it and worry about the research on that one later... for my historical, I feel I can't ignore the research ;)
