Keep Me Accountable - Day 1

After a trip down to the doldrums of not writing much, of having too much going on and not enough time to do it, of lacking strong ideas for a story and being all down and out over it, I'm back.

I'm over it.

I'm writing again.

Some of you swear by NaNoWriMo and some of you are apart of Novel Track. Some of you do both. Some of you are just looking for a place to start. Well, here's something I've been told many times before. It's advice that is the best I've ever been given.

YOU CAN'T REVISE A BLANK PAGE.

So... WRITE!

Between yesterday and today, I've written 3 pages on my new historical romance. Actually, its not a new story. I started it about four years ago. Only recently have I gotten up enough guts to just go for it and write it.

Word count for today: 468.
Total goal for the book: 80,000.

Will you join me in this writing journey?

I need to join you since I'm working on a new story. For the moment though, I'm kind of liking that pristine white of a blank page. Putting black on it would just ruin the whole thing. Ooo, maybe if I changed the font color to pink or purple it would motivate me to write, even if the story's just not quite there yet. It would at least look pretty:-)

LOL, Mindy... but the blank page will never be published! Put something on it - red, pink, blue, black - just make sure there are words and revise later!

Hey Christy,

Just read about your challenge on FAITH Girls - so I'm a few days late, but joining in! I need this accountability. How often do we check in??

Blessings!!

Edwina, I'm trying to post progress every other day. But I am going to try and post every day for continuity. Just chime in wherever. It's fine! Thanks for joining us!

Finalist!

I've always enjoyed reading historical novels. As a child I actually imagined living in the mid 1800s. My grandmother fed my imaginatio...
