Welcome!

Hello and Welcome! Thanks for stopping. I hope to share my journey as a writer and pass along interesting and educational information - when it's available to me, of course.

Unfortunately, I'm suffering from writer's block. It happens to all of us from time to time... whether you're a journalist, a college student, someone trying to write a letter to a friend, or me, trying to revise my second manuscript, you've written a little or a lot, but aren't quite through. And then it happens. You draw a blank, that dark hole in your brain seems to get larger and larger. Getting up from the desk, leaving your computer or notepad for a moment, may help, but in my case, it hasn't.

So I decided to start my very own blog...

Come back to visit me and see how things are going! And if you don't catch me here, check out the blog I share with 5 other aspiring, F.A.I.T.H. Full, and unique authors: http://writingbyfaith.blogspot.com

Great blog, Christy! And I love the name. :)

I've been a little blocked lately, too. I just can't make myself sit down and write because I'm at a point where I need to do something major, or else the story will get totally boring. And I can't figure out what to do with the next plot point!

Maybe we'll both get unstuck. I plan to force myself to sit and write tonight, even if it's terrible. Any words on the page are better than none!

Good luck, Missy - you are right - any words are better than none.

Any progress is Good progress!

Writer's Block? Don't even go there with me, girlfriend. If, eek, I can ever, groan, get over this transition hurdle, arrrrgh, I'll be just fine :-)

Christy,

Congrats on the new blog. I've added your site to my blog roll. Have you tried doing some extra research? Sometimes that gives me a kick start out of my writer's block. The other thing that has worked well is praying for God to give me a dream or some creative ideas.

Finalist!

I've always enjoyed reading historical novels. As a child I actually imagined living in the mid 1800s. My grandmother fed my imaginatio...
